The countries and socities have firm relations with eachother in the age, we live in. The people from all over the world can easily communicate every moment with the progress of the technology, in particular technology of communication. A foreign language plays a crucial role in such an ambiance. Generally, the students in our department have a good knowledge of English. When they begin the education, they improve their knowledge of English with the elective courses. On the other hand, after a one-year preparatory class, they get ready for life and their jobs with the lessons like History of German Literature, German Cultural History, Comparative Literature, Science of Literature , Linguistic, History of Language and Translation.
The purpose of Department is, to bring up individuals, who know both western culture and turkish culture very well. The individuals, who take this education, get ready for working in international relations and institutions, education sector, private institutions, translation sector and academical field.
